I was moved to tears upon seeing a photo of a guy walking down a war-torn road in Ukraine, carrying his 12-year old, huge German Shepherd dog on his shoulder. The caption said he carried him all the way across the border – and then went back for more of his family! I couldn’t stop thinking about my own dog, and how I’d never want to leave her behind, either.
In another photo, a gal held her big kitty in her arms as she struggled through the airport. Kitty’s arms were wrapped tight around the gal’s neck, her expression sheer terror. So sad!
